Wine Tasting in Urla

Schedule:Meeting at Üçkuyular Pier at 08:30 AM and departure to Urla – Breakfast by the sea, followed by a visit to Uzbaş Botanical Garden. They will be waiting for us here, and we will tour the farm with explanations. Plant species from 54 different countries that can grow in our region will be introduced.

Grapes play the leading role in the Aegean; here we will see the grape growing process on-site and learn about wine and viticulture. We will have wine tasting at Urla Winery, which is one of the famous venues with award-winning wines.

We will have our lunch at Urla Vineyard House, located in Yağcılar Village, which is in the forest at the narrowest point of Urla Peninsula and 10 minutes from Urla. In the afternoon, we will have a tasting at USCA, one of the award-winning wine houses, in the Southern Region Kuşcular.

We will continue our tour with KLOZEMAI, one of the 12 Ionian settlements of ancient times. Here we will see one of the oldest olive oil presses. Many important discoveries about olive and wine have been made in this geography in recent years.

We will head towards the old harbor. Here, we will see the places where Cyclades, known as the oldest means of transportation between the islands, were built. Later, we will visit the Tahaffuzhane (Quarantine Station) built by the Ottomans to the French in 1865 to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
